Explanation of Trifecta Betting
A Trifecta requires you to pick the first three place getters in order. Now just like quinella bets there are boxed triffectas and stand out triffectas. These bets offer huge money sometimes if you get it right and are very popular amongst a group of friends.
It's common for friends to all pick a runner each in a race and then combine those runners into a boxed triffecta. The likelyhood of winning a triffecta though is very low but they are a lot of fun and you would only need one of them to win to make some money.
Most people make the mistake of trying to cover every type of combination for first second and third. Why then wouldn't you just bet on every runner in a race to win? I doubt you would, so keep this in mind and keep this type of bet between friends having fun, not by yourself to begin with. If you are triffecta betting by yourself then set aside a very low percentage of your money for these bets and stick to it. Let's keep betting easy!
