of the Melbourne Cup week and is one of Australia's single most entertaining
days of Horse Racing. The Victoria Derby is traditionally a day for racing
purists with nine group 1 races being held throughout the day.

The Victoria derby is normally race Race 6 on the card and is a classic

offers over $1.5 million in prize money making it a very lucrative day
for the winning owners, jockeys and trainers.
