Who will come out on top?

Grand Final AFL Betting

Red or Black? Betting would suggest you have a better chance than a casino roulette wheel as there is no 50/50 in this match up! A long AFL betting season comes to a close after 184 games in 2010.  With red hot favorites  Collingwood holding the majority of bets in the final AFL betting game of the year, it’s time to make a few dollars before the cricket season crawls on to our television screens. Last year’s loss will only do so much for the Saints to go one better, as they seem to be out matched in every department. Betting live on Collingwood to win, in what ever market goes up could be very profitable.  Sure it’s been 20 years between drinks but the Saints don’t seem to have the x factor needed to see any serious bets go their way.

Collingwood anialated raining premier Geelong by 41 points last week, and damage of that magnitude always comes in pairs! The Pies wreaked havoc on the Cats to lead at one stage by 81 points only to shut up shop and prepare themselves for the game that matters.  Despite winning just one of their last five encounters against the Saints AFL betting sees them head in to the game at $1.43 with the saints still marching a distant $2.85 behind.

Norm Smith Medal ALF Betting

You may wish to add Alan Didak ($11.00) from Collingwood to win the Norm Smith, who was best on field in their round 16 clash with St Kilda.

Our tip here at sportbets.com.au AFL Betting on Norm Smith is for Brendon Goddard from St.Kilda to win at $13.

It’s a great betting odd and so get on it!

AFL Preliminary Final betting Odds

Friday, September 17th, 2010

Bye Bye Barry. A last look at the bulldogs this year.

Will any watch the other game? I talking about the Western Bulldogs verses St Kilda? There might be a new record set for television viewing in the Geelong verses Collingwood match. St Kilda will romp home at betting will be tough but LIVE in match betting should keep some fans happy and the odds worth while. The Saints are $1.22 and if at any point after the first bounce they go above that price then jump on it. The other match is too close to call and there may be less than a dozen points at the end of the fourth quarter. LIVE in match betting will be more fun and more on the edge of your seat viewing for this big one!

AFL Betting Odds Geelong & Freemantle

Friday, September 10th, 2010

Cats Roar

You only have to look at the past few results to know this will be under a 4 goal difference. More recently in April Freemantle beat Geelong by a goal and change, and twice in the last 12 months Geelong have won by less than two goals.

Who will turn up this weekend? Will it be a team coming off a win or a team coming off a loss. With both teams near a full roster there will be little between the two. The best option for odds and betting is to perhaps look towards the points difference in the match ignoring the actual winning team. My suggestion is to look at Geelong and Freemantle under 39.5 points at $2.45 and a massive $7.50 respectively.

AFL Finals First Week betting odds

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Finally some edge of the seat footy AFL Betting!  The business end of the AFL Season starts this weekend with Week 1 of the AFL Finals. This is the most open final series in years and any team could win it. As far as AFL betting propositions go, I think it is best to asses things on the odds on offer and avoid taking short odds about a favorite to win a particular match. Players and coaches get nervous.  To put it simply, the loser of Collingwood vs Western Bulldogs will play the winner of Sydney vs Carlton in Week 2, while the loser of Geelong vs St Kilda will meet the winner of Fremantle vs Hawthorn. I would expect in the knock out match up in Sydney that the Swans will come through, as they are very hard to beat at home in finals series. 2010 AFL Grand Final – Odds for an All Victorian Final

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

The boys at Sportingbet are offering a novelty bet for the 2010 AFL Grand Final betting adventurer – the grand final odds that it will be an all Victorian final. Now wouldn’t that bring a tear to the eye of the old VFL generation…

I’ll be backing the Geelong Cats to romp home if that happens but I do think at $3.80, the AFL betting odds that it won’t be an all Victorian grand final are excellentgrand final betting odds.

AFL Grand Final Betting Odds – Winner of AFL Football 2010

Adelaide v Richmond – AFL Betting Tips

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

Former Adelaide skipper Mark Ricciutio said during the week that if the Crows lose to fellow winless side Richmond the fans would burn down AAMI Stadium. There’s no afl betting odds on that on Sportbets.com.au!

But that won’t happen as Neil Craig’s men have more experienced bodies in the middle and better options in attack.

With both sides struggling to kick goals you wouldn’t expect this to be a blow-out, therefore putting money on a Crows win by 5 goals – which is paying…. – would be the best AFL betting odds you can find!

AFL Betting Odds – AFL Tip is Geelong by 4 goals over Sydney Swans

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

Geelong should cruise to victory and the AFL betting odds are up todate at Sportbets.com.au showing Geelong at $1.95 to beat Sydney by 24.5 points

Sydney has been superb in the first month and a half of the home-and-away season, playing an attacking brand of football which has propelled them to the top of the ladder with a 5-1 win-loss record. Geelong has been a bit up and down so far in 2010 but the reigning premiers will undoubtedly be primed for this clash. Last weekend against Brisbane the Swans were able to kick 16 goals. They will find life a lot tougher against a Cats defence that will be bolstered by the return of star full-back Matthew Scarlett.

Expect Mark Thompson’s men to make it seven victories in a row over Sydney. Given the quality of both sides you would expect this contest to be tight throughout. More AFL and Sports Betting Odds at Sportbets.com.au

AFL Tips 2010 – West Coast v Fremantle at Subiaco Oval, 2.40pm

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

Our AFL best bet tip is in the West Coast v Fremantle at Subiaco Oval, 2.40pm game!

Fremantle has won the past five western derbies and will make it six straight as West Coast’s skill level is below par and they rely too heavily on Mark LeCras and Josh Kennedy to kick them to a winning score.

The last five matches between these two sides have been decided by less than six goals, so the smart option would be to put money on a Dockers’ victory for 15 points or more at $1.87
