The ink is dry Dwayne Swan’s arm – the Brownlow medal – and finally on two possible outcomes for the Sunday papers, no more drawn grand finals this week.  Dwayne Swan will be especially pleased after failing to win “Charlie” and a lack luster performance last week. Betting still sees Collingwood ahead, as favorites over St Kilda, with almost the same odds on offer as not much has changed in a week. Collingwood still can’t kick goals and St Kilda still can’t finish off a match. So who do we bet on this week? AFL in LIVE betting looking the winner. AFL Betting Odds – Brisbane Lions V Carlton

The biggest margin in the last five clashes between these two sides was 33 points, so the smart AFL betting option would be to back Brisbane Lion to win by 1-39, which is offering $2.25.

The betting odds are Carlton will head into this Thursday blockbuster fancying their chances of securing the four premiership points given that they have won three of their past four clashes against Brisbane with two of those wins coming at the Gabba. However, with skipper Chris Judd still sidelined due to suspension the Blues face an uphill task to win the all-important midfield battle against a Lions’ on-ball division that boasts plenty of class. Expect Brisbane’s on-ball brigade – led by Simon Black, Jared Brennan and young gun – to win more of the contested football and provide their twin towers in skipper Jonathan Brown and Brendan Fevola – who will be desperate to perform well against his old side – with ample quality supply.
