The Italian community jumped into action to rally against Frankie Dettori as trainers and fellow jockeys in New Market backed the 3 time champion to return back into action after his ban of 6 months.
The news of Dettori’s suspension was confirmed by France Galop on Wednesday in the morning. Dettori cannot contest as there is an effective worldwide ban imposed on him as racing jurisdictions including the BHA will voice the authority of France to reciprocate it completely.

In 2012 Dettori got three top victories thanks to Marco Botti when he led Joshua Tree to win at the Canadian International tournament. Botti stated he was not sure on what Frankie’s plans were when it came to keeping fit and healthy for the forthcoming rides. However he stated that he would be glad to allow him to work again. It was because of Dettori that they won the Canadian International. Botti was keen to use him for some horses and they had a chance to work with him in the past as well. Botti further added that they do not have a permanent jockey. They do have martin Harley and Adam Kirby however they still will have rides reserved for Frankie on his comeback.
Dettori is the most widely sought after racing figure for several years. The promoters of horse racing Racing For Change have undeniably acknowledged this fact. They are aware that racing would still be strong enough to withstand this negative publicity Frank’s case has bought.
A recent statement released by the Chief Executive Rod Street said that Frank has in the past played a vital role in the promotion of racing to the masses. Besides being a recognized figure he is also a fantastic ambassador of the British Champions Series too.
In response to all of these events and the sudden negative case bought against him spokesperson, David Stevens stated that Frankie has expressed the desire to rebuild his lost reputation next year. His return is scheduled in the month of May and he has some time to get back to his previous winning form with success!
