Who will come out on top?

Grand Final AFL Betting

Red or Black? Betting would suggest you have a better chance than a casino roulette wheel as there is no 50/50 in this match up! A long AFL betting season comes to a close after 184 games in 2010.  With red hot favorites  Collingwood holding the majority of bets in the final AFL betting game of the year, it’s time to make a few dollars before the cricket season crawls on to our television screens. Last year’s loss will only do so much for the Saints to go one better, as they seem to be out matched in every department. Betting live on Collingwood to win, in what ever market goes up could be very profitable.  Sure it’s been 20 years between drinks but the Saints don’t seem to have the x factor needed to see any serious bets go their way.

Collingwood anialated raining premier Geelong by 41 points last week, and damage of that magnitude always comes in pairs! The Pies wreaked havoc on the Cats to lead at one stage by 81 points only to shut up shop and prepare themselves for the game that matters.  Despite winning just one of their last five encounters against the Saints AFL betting sees them head in to the game at $1.43 with the saints still marching a distant $2.85 behind.

Norm Smith Medal ALF Betting

You may wish to add Alan Didak ($11.00) from Collingwood to win the Norm Smith, who was best on field in their round 16 clash with St Kilda.

AFL grand final betting odds. Collingwood to win

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

Well, AFL Betting will be mad as Collingwood sets up to win the AFL Grand Final after many years. I was at the MCG in 1981 when Peter Moore threw his premiership runner up medal into the crowd. Let’s hope Peter Moore is betting on the AFL Grand Final and salvages some of the lost wages from sponsors who deserted him!

Collingwoods emphatic 41-point victory over Geelong in the first preliminary final at the MCG makes them a AFL Grand Final odds on favourite.

I’m sure Warney will be their, pie in hand, beer in the other (between smokes), cheering on the Saints. I don’t think they’ll be marching in on the betting odds in the 2010 Grand Final but then again, anything is possible with Warney on your side…. as we Australians know oh so well.

Bye Bye Barry. A last look at the bulldogs this year.

Will any watch the other game? I talking about the Western Bulldogs verses St Kilda? There might be a new record set for television viewing in the Geelong verses Collingwood match. St Kilda will romp home at betting will be tough but LIVE in match betting should keep some fans happy and the odds worth while. The Saints are $1.22 and if at any point after the first bounce they go above that price then jump on it. The other match is too close to call and there may be less than a dozen points at the end of the fourth quarter. LIVE in match betting will be more fun and more on the edge of your seat viewing for this big one!

NRL Semi Finals Betting

Will both teams win their respective semi final NRL games?

It’s Semi Final time in the NRL and they are both good  betting prospects.  Canberra won last week and have huge momentum heading into the Tigers game at home.  Odds are very skinny for both teams it would seem, and perhaps betting LIVE during the match would be the way to go this weekend. Canberra are $1.50 to win and the Tigers are odds of $2.60

The Sydney Roosters will play hosts to the Penrith Panthers in the weekend’s other match on Saturday night. The Panthers have had an outstanding season finishing second, however big injury concerns to three key players will not see their odds reach 5-1 so you would have to stick with the Roosters with betting at $1.50 to go through.

Can Cummings Repeat the Win?

Traditionally a race that trainers and horses find hard to win more than once. David Hayes has done it in 2005 and 2006 and this year AnthonyCummings gets his chance with Sister Madly with betting showing current odds of 9-1.  Doubtful Jack is currently well over the odds at $2.80, and that price will be snapped up closer to race time. Moody may have his chance to win back to back next year, because there is not much else in the field that will trouble the favorite.  Jungle Ruler is always up there and can surprise at big odds. Kidnapped has the Snowden polish and keep an eye on Rightfully Yours in the closing stages of betting.  How to bet ? Stick to Doubtful Jack if undecided.

Underwood Stakes Betting Odds

It’s not a one horse race as the betting odds suggest with So You Think at odds on to win. Last years Cox Plate winner is certainly looking good but there will have to be a point where the horse blows a bit while gaining fitness and this could be the day. It certainly won’t be during the Cox Plate. Last year the race was dominated by Weekend Hussler, but in 2010 there is no similar entry. Heart of Dreams won the race two years ago and may be looking to repeat. Largo Lad had a slashing run at huge odds to win last start and will be similar odds. And what about Metal Bender now down in Melbourne to launch a huge spring campaign? I think Metal Bender will show how open this years major races are going to be and is the one to watch heading into the the cups. Watch the How to Bet videos for help in making profit this spring.

AFL Betting Odds Geelong & Freemantle

Friday, September 10th, 2010

Cats Roar

You only have to look at the past few results to know this will be under a 4 goal difference. More recently in April Freemantle beat Geelong by a goal and change, and twice in the last 12 months Geelong have won by less than two goals.

Who will turn up this weekend? Will it be a team coming off a win or a team coming off a loss. With both teams near a full roster there will be little between the two. The best option for odds and betting is to perhaps look towards the points difference in the match ignoring the actual winning team. My suggestion is to look at Geelong and Freemantle under 39.5 points at $2.45 and a massive $7.50 respectively.

2010 McEwan Stakes Odds Betting

Friday, September 10th, 2010

Wet wet wet at the Valley

The McEwan Stakes on the card looks easy with Hay List a potential superstar and betting favorite. He’s handled the soft ground before when second to Love Conquers All, but it was not at Moonee Valley which might be his undoing if any other jockey can take advantage. Reward for Effort might go to the lead and be left alone at odds of 3-1? If so then we are in for a cracking race, or swim up the home straight.

For betting this race a few tips on How to Bet might come in handy, as this race will form part of the Quaddie on the day.
