Grand Final not the big story!
We all know St George and the Roosters are in this Sunday’s grand final and betting sees the season favorites ahead slightly. The odds will change closer to game time, as larger bets are placed on the Roosters to win. There are a lot more serious punters in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and at the Roosters head quaters than in Dragon territory. It should be a great game with the NRL season betting favorites winning the match and betting favoritism and deservedly so. The Saints to win by 1-12 at $3.25.
Unfortunately the grand final is not the NRL’s biggest draw card in the next 7 days! The big rumor floating around, that will not be announced till after the grand final, is being announced Monday! The betting odds scandal a few weeks back, is perhaps going to see some heads role, with 6 people maybe getting life bans from NRL. There is one manager, and six players. Three from the Cowboys who are Thurston, Payne, and Mason. The manager Sam Ayoub. The bulldogs Tandy and Saleh. And finally Adam Blair from the Storm. If it’s true then no wonder the management at the NRL are waiting till after the grand final. It’s the same as telling passengers on a plane that the management knew about the faulty engines before take off just after crashing! It’s hard to say…..fly with us!

WOW, the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington is a seriously hot race this year with numerous winning chances and champions in their own right. Betting will be fantastic and if ever you wanted to try betting “in running” for the first time, then this is the race to do it in. Shocking is the Flemington specialist, might win but but he only at odds of 5-1. Moudre, if he can get a run, should run close to favourite and if the scratchings appear, can win the race to be sure of starting in the Caufield Cup. Its ‘D-Day’ for Shoot Out. The Big Flemington track should suit and he gets his chance to stand up as a genuine Cox Plate contender. Unlike most punters we think Typhoon Tracy will stand up and show she can run a strong 2000 meters, so back her in the Cox Plate before this run for the extra big odds on betting available!

Open as Usual
There is nothing ever typical about betting in an Epsom and this year is no different as the odds show once again what an open contest it will be. Trusting is the horse to beat at odds of 5-1. Once Were Wild betting sees her drop to 9-1 and she is an Oaks winner. Gai Waterhouse is not short of a trophy for this race in her cabinet either, and knows when to get them right.
Black Piranha is our pick with betting odds of 17-1 and Gai’s best jockey in the saddle, Nash Rawiller, he’ll get back and look to be charging home. Sacred Choice and Dealer Principle are at huge odds but we can’t see them running a strong mile compared to the others more fancied. Check the How to Bet video’s for some suggestions on First Four action.

Spring racing is not all about the horses
The Metropolitan betting has seen the second favorites odds reduce to 4-1 with strong support for Mr Charlie. This horse has been impressive in his two starts in Australia and when Moody slaps on the blinkers it’s game time. If you look at his 7 length win in New Zealand over 2500m it’s hard not to like him. Herculian Prince has been easy in betting at 4-1 but if you can forgive his failure last start where he swallowed his tongue, then back him, although he might find it hard to tell you he’s OK now. Other chances are Landlocked with current betting odds of 12-1 and Get Up Jude at odds of 13-1.

The ink is finally dry!
The ink is dry Dwayne Swan’s arm – the Brownlow medal – and finally on two possible outcomes for the Sunday papers, no more drawn grand finals this week. Dwayne Swan will be especially pleased after failing to win “Charlie” and a lack luster performance last week. Betting still sees Collingwood ahead, as favorites over St Kilda, with almost the same odds on offer as not much has changed in a week. Collingwood still can’t kick goals and St Kilda still can’t finish off a match. So who do we bet on this week? AFL in LIVE betting looking the winner. Have fun on the repeat and bet LIVE all game for the best outcome. If betting sees Collingwood jump ahead in the first two quarters then you know what to expect from St Kilda – much the same as last week.

I know the AFL Betting on today’s grand final could be considered one sided for Collingwood but we think that St.Kilda will win by 10 points – so with these great odds, go to Sportbets.com.au and open up an account to take advantage of the last 2010 AFL grand final bet.

The boys here at sport betting HQ tip Hay List to take out the Group 1 $500,000 Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley.
Although Love Conquers All could beat Hay List, we just think his run in the Group 3 Bobbie Lewis Stakes shows he’s not up to taking our tip for bring on the money as a Manikato Stakes horseracing betting tip.

Who's a pretty girl now?
The George Main Stakes can be a great lead into the Cox Plate and this year will see Cox Plate entrant More Joyous start a shot priced favorite at $1.85. This is for good reason though, because nothing else will come close in betting or odds. The only other option for this race is to take Black Piranha for the Exacta. If you want to go further in betting on this race then perhaps try Theseo for third place. Remember weight for age horses repeat placings more than any other class of race and betting should center around those quality runners. Check all the odds at Sportbets.

Will 4 tries be enough?
Gold Coast verses the Roosters on Friday night will get get NRL betting surging leading into grand final week. This game will come down to a battle of the halves with Mitchel Pierce and Scott Prince. It is unlikely that the match will be blown apart by one team or the other, as Collingwood did to Geelong in the AFL. The Roosters betting prospects should centre around the points they score, as their defence at times, has holes all through it. Give the home team a 6 point head start in betting and if selecting a “pick the scores” bet then remember that both teams love to show off so there may be more than one field goal in the match. Betting sees the Titans at $1.77 and the Roosters at $2.08. To find more great betting options check the how to bet videos.
The second semi final betting option in the NRL sees the favorites to win the grand final St George up against the Tigers. The match should see the favorites win comfortably. of course the Tigers have a lot flair and individual brilliance in their team, but as a team they are too inconsistent to gain any serious betting from the bigger punters, and that’s why their odds are $2.90. St George to win this one and try live betting for better odds. As last week we told you to back St Kilda in live betting if they got out past $1.22 to win the match. It is the same for St George this week., and not because they both have the SAINT in their names, it is just a sensible betting option for better NRL odds and returns on the match. Saints and Roosters grand final for me.
