What a great day, Derby Day is it is at Flemington. Just fantastic! Sun shining, champagne flowing, the best races horses in the world descending to battle out the Victoria Derby, one of my favourite group 1 horseraces as its for 3 year olds who are very strong.

Ridden by Craig Williams, I think Broken will run very well. I’m partial to Governance if you’re looking for a Quinella. And, if you’re looking for a great double for Cox Plate day, I would also think about betting on Soul Diva in the Independent Crane Stakes.

Run over 2,040 metres at Moonee Valley, this horse is in top condition to win. I think Extra Zero will run nicely with the very experiend B Rawiller riding atop. I do like Carrara – who won very well last start in the Statue of Liberty Stutt Stakes but I think the extra distance might be difficult
Patinak Farm Crystal Mile Odds 2009

Well priced is Rangirangdoo and with Corey Brown at the helm, this New Zealand horse will be hard to beat. I’m tipping Raffaello followed by David Hains trained All American to come home 2nd and third in the Patinack Farm Crystal Mile Stakes race.
